cologne - Alexander Gauland and Alice Weidel will jointly lead the German national populist party AfD. The six hundred delegates chose Gauland and Weidel on Sunday during the party congress in Cologne.
Gauland was so far as Deputy Party Chairman of the AfD. He represents the right-nationalist flow within the AFD. Weidel has a reputation for being somewhat moderate. The duo follows Frauke Petry. Who announced earlier this week that she will not be a party striker of her party during the parliamentary elections in September.
