Abdeslam is based on Belgian judgment

brussels - Salah Abdeslam does not appeal against his conviction to twenty years in prison for a terrorist murder attempt and forbidden possession of weapons. The Brussels court sanctioned the 28-year-old Frenchman last month for his involvement in a shooting in the Brussels municipality of Vorst in March 2016 in which several officers were injured.

The Belgian-born Abdeslam is the only surviving terrorist of the Paris attacks, killing 130 people in November 2015. He is in a French cell awaiting the trial.

'It is the express wish of Mr. Abdeslam himself not to appeal', says his lawyer Sven Mary to the newspaper De Standaard. His client had said during the trial that he did not recognize the court because he regards Allah as his only judge.
