bedford - An 8-year-old girl from Bedford, Ohio, grabbed her mother's car keys and wallet, drove to a supermarket, and spent $400, causing a stir online.

On a Sunday morning in September, a Nissan Rogue SUV was seen swerving on the road in Bedford, Ohio. It turned out the driver was an 8-year-old girl who wanted to go to the supermarket. She reportedly spent $400 there and admitted to hitting something along the way.

The girl, upset after an argument with her older sister on Sunday, September 15, decided to sneak out of the house. At around 7 a.m., she gathered her mother's wallet and car keys and got into the car.

Still distressed, she planned to drive to a supermarket 16 kilometers away to get some treats. Her disappearance raised alarm when her sister noticed Zoe was missing. Mother Tangie Wilson then contacted the authorities, reporting a missing 8-year-old girl and a 2020 Nissan Rogue.

Security footage from a neighbor's doorbell camera showed the girl getting into the car and driving off. The car was spotted swerving on the road, with drivers struggling to see the tiny driver. Less than two hours later, the vehicle was found in a supermarket parking lot, with Zoe safe inside. She casually mentioned she had only hit a mailbox.

The incident sparked a buzz in Bedford and online, as many wondered how a child managed to drive to a store without causing harm. The police found the humor in the situation and chose not to take further action, ensuring Zoe's safety. They even let her enjoy her Frappuccino, stating, 'We're not mean.'
