washington - A group of 75 Nobel laureates have spoken out against the nomination of Robert F. Kennedy as the American Health Minister, citing concerns over his stance on vaccines and public health.

A group of 75 Nobel laureates have expressed opposition to the nomination of Robert F. Kennedy as the American Health Minister. They are urging the Senate to block his appointment, claiming that his views could endanger the health of Americans.

According to the award-winning scientists, Kennedy's lack of relevant experience in medicine, science, public health, or governance, coupled with his opposition to many protective and life-saving vaccines, raises red flags. In a letter published in The New York Times, they highlighted Kennedy's skepticism towards the proven benefits of water fluoridation, propagation of conspiracy theories about successful AIDS treatments and other diseases, and staunch opposition to respected authorities.

Nobel laureates typically steer clear of politics, noted Richard Roberts, the 1993 Nobel laureate in Medicine and one of the signatories of the letter. However, he emphasized that Kennedy poses a threat to the nation that scientists could not ignore.

Involvement in presidential elections first as an independent candidate and later throwing support behind Republican Donald Trump, Kennedy's political journey has been controversial.
