Wang Quanzhang was arrested in 2015 with more than two hundred other lawyers and human rights activists during a crackdown by the government against people who shot it for victims of alleged political repression. Wang dealt with sensitive matters at the time, including suspicions of torture by the police. He also defended supporters of the forbidden Falun Gong movement.
