350 million for Syrian refugees

brussels - For emergency aid to 1.5 million Syrian refugees in Lebanon, Turkey, Jordan and Iraq will allocate € 350 million. The European Commission announced on Tuesday.

The money is divided among four programs. Educational Aid to Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan accounts for 140 million. Of these, 172 thousand refugee children can attend school. Basic services for refugees and the people who reserved them cope is 130 million. There, 400 000 people benefit from this, especially in Turkey. In health programs is inserted 55 million and 25 million will be used to build water supply and sanitation programs in Jordan and Lebanon. This should benefit up to one million people. The millions come from the EU fund for Syria that a year ago was launched. The fund currently contains 610 million. About spending the rest of the money will be decided early next year.
