On Sunday, Morgane informed her friends that she wouldn't be going to school, but her parents say she left on foot on Monday. Shortly after, the school notified her parents that she was absent from class. Since then, she has been missing.

The police have launched a large-scale search operation. Over fifty officers and soldiers were deployed on Saturday, with twenty going door-to-door in the Pabu and Guingamp region, ten conducting road checks, and the rest focusing on the investigation, which indicates a worrying disappearance. Earlier this week, 800 civilians were also mobilized to comb the area, while divers searched the wells near her parental home.
