1100 Greek rescue refugees from sea

athens - The Greek Coast Guard has rescued the last 24 hours more than 1,100 refugees from the Aegean Sea. In the islands of Lesbos , Leros, Chios , Samos, Kos Farmakonisi and rescuers had to come into action to get people out of the water .

In recent days, it was fairly quiet weather around islands, but Friday pulled the wind.

Saturday blew it in the island territory off the Turkish coast already very hard. The Greek weather service warned Saturday for strong winds across the Aegean.
