Zoo cuts claws of lioness for the pleasure of children

Zoo Rafah Zoo in Palestine has subjected one of its lionesses to a very drastic operation: the claws of the lioness have been cut off 'so that children of the visitors can.

The fourteen month old lioness Falestine was treated with a garden shears while she was stunned. Animal rights organization Four Paws International shared the images and wrote 'Unfortunately this is not the only animal that has to abandon the zoo. Four weeks earlier four newborn cubs died from the cold and a lack of care.
