Z Korea wants to talk to Nd Korea about Olympic Games

The South Korean minister on unification, Cho Myong-gyon, has proposed a date for an appointment with North Korea to talk about the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang.

If it is up to South Korea, dignitaries from both countries will be in talks on Tuesday, January 9, to ensure that a delegation of North Korean athletes can travel to the south to take part in the Games, which begin next month.

The meeting should take place in the border town of Panmunjom.

Earlier both the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and the South Korean president Moon Jae-in said they were 'open to a dialogue. 'In the first instance it concerns the Winter Games, but both also want to work towards a better relationship. Prerequisite for Moon is that the North Korean nuclear weapons program is stopped.
