White Easter in North Germany

In the winter weather, northern Germany, including Berlin, delivered a white Easter.

The sudden fall of the winter caused not only beautiful pictures but also a lot of inconvenience: slippery roads, fallen trees and disrupted train traffic. A bird park was seriously hit in Marlow, where 90 percent of the outdoor veneers were destroyed. Even the wide-meshed nets succumbed under the load of snow.

Employees were warned but failed to catch all the birds in time and bring them back to the winter quarters. A number of animals have escaped. Small consolation, they will probably survive. Spring is coming. According to the meteorologists, the mercury rises to 20 degrees or more in a week.
