Weather dead by avalanche in Italian Alps

A French skier Sunday in northern Italy killed when he and three companions were surprised by an avalanche.

The foursome was with skis on the road in the Aosta Valley on the border with France and Switzerland. The accident happened in the town of Valgrisenche, where rescue workers in the afternoon reached the victims.

Thursday was already hit in the Italian Alps. Three people were killed and five others were injured when they were off-piste skiing. They were buried under the snow when it began to slide.
