Venezuela and Colombia to reopen border

Colombia and Venezuela will partially reopen their border.

Maduro pitched the border about a year ago closed to prevent the smuggling of goods and the intrusion of Colombian paramilitaries. The border went last month twice already open to buy Venezuelans able food and medicine to set the neighboring country.

The countries have now agreed to work towards a full reopening of the 2,200-kilometer border. From Saturday to pedestrians already in five places make the crossing.
