US serial killer found guilty

A 63-year-old American was Thursday found guilty by a jury in the murder of nine women and a girl in a period of over twenty years.

Lonnie David Franklin in 2010 came up as a suspect in a series of murders in the seventies and eighties through new DNA techniques. Because so much time between the murders, he has been nicknamed the 'grim sleeper'.

Franklin include a position as a driver of a garbage truck, but also spent some time in the garage of the police in Los Angeles. His victims were mostly young black women in the center of the city. He strangled them or shot them dead and she left in alleyways.
