US gets back diplomats from China for mysterious disorder

The US Department of State has retrieved a number of diplomats from Guangzhou in China after complaints about a mysterious condition that resembles minor brain damage.

After a minor brain damage had been diagnosed with a US consulate employee in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou in May, the ministry had started an investigation with staff and family members. 'As a result of the screening, the Ministry sent a number of employees back to the US for further evaluation and investigation into the symptoms,' the spokesman said.

The New York Times had reported earlier Wednesday that Foreign Affairs had evacuated at least two Americans, because they had fallen sick of hearing strange noises in China.
