US Embassy dismisses people for drugs

The US Embassy in Afghanistan has several employees given a warning because of drug use and trafficking.

The embassy in Kabul had gone to investigate after a member of staff 'confused and seemingly under the influence' walked. A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry confirmed that six people have been put on the street, but denied reports that it was going to 22 employees.

The US has invested in accordance with statements of the Senate since 2012 to 8.5 billion in projects against drugs. Afghanistan is the largest producer of opium in the world. Opium is the raw material for heroin.
