US discourages pregnant women Rio Games

The American health CDC advises pregnant women not to travel to the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

The virus is mainly spread by mosquitoes, but, more and more cases in which the virus is likely transmitted through sex. In the US discovered fourteen new cases. Among the infections are also a number of pregnant women. They probably contracted the virus through sexual contact with infected men. Pregnant women should therefore always use a condom when having sex, or rather not have sex at all.

The advice from the CDC also applies to the Paralympic Games, to be held from 7th to 18th September.
