US and Russia agree on Syrian airspace
The United States and Russia have agreed on a package of precautions to bombard 'safe' targets Islamic State (IS) in Syria .
The US and Russia will not join forces against IS . The two countries are fighting against IS , but also have other interests. The US opposes the regime of incumbent President Bashar al-Assad and supporting the Syrian rebels fighting against the government army.
Russia , however, is a long ally of Assad. To ensure that they do not interfere with each other during their air raids , has now reached an agreement . It contains precise instructions for the military to prevent accidents.
