Unrest due to mysterious, exploding packages: two deaths

Exploding packages cause a lot of unrest in the American city of Austin (Texas).

The American police do not exclude that it is about 'hate crimes'. All victims belonged to the Afro-American community. The police suspect a connection between the explosions. So far there is no evidence that it is a racist motive, emphasized the local police chief.

The first explosion occurred on 2 March. A 39-year-old man was killed when he found the package at his front door. The other two explosions occurred on Monday. Again, these were packages that were not placed by a regular delivery service at a front door. The youngest victim is a 17 year old boy.

The police advises residents not to touch packages of which the sender is not known. Texans should immediately call 911 if they see something suspicious. Specialists analyze the different explosives.
