UN aid agencies want access to Syrians

Aid organizations of the United Nations on Monday called for access to children and families in Syria who are cut off from humanitarian aid.

The top leaders of UNHCR, relief coordinator OCHA, children's organization UNICEF, the World Food Programme (WFP) and the World Health Organization (WHO) ' insist on immediate, unconditional and safe access '' to citizens. In total there are approximately 700 000 Syrians living in Syria in fifteen besieged areas. They have a great lack of the basic necessities of life and are constantly running the risk of being victims of violence.
