Ukrainian rebels choose new leaders
The separatist rebel strongholds in eastern Ukraine have new leaders.
Pushilin got almost 61 percent of the votes. In the neighboring rebel area of Luhansk, Leonid Pasetsjnik was elected leader with over 68 percent of the votes. The United States, the European Union, Canada and the pro-Western government of Ukraine do not recognize the outcome of the vote.
