Uber concealed sexual harassment

Uber is accused of sexual harassment.

'' What Fowler describes is terrible and goes against everything that Uber stands for and believe in, '' CEO Travis Kala Nick wrote in a comment. He has commissioned an internal investigation and says that '' anyone who behaves as if this will normally be dismissed. '

Fowler Uber left in December. She had worked for a year. On her blog she wrote that she got all messages on her first day of her boss. '' It was clear that he was trying to seduce me into sex, and it went so far clear that I immediately took screenshots of the chats and passed it on to personnel. '' The department concluded that it was an innocent mistake from a high-performing colleagues, says Fowler. She had to choose in their own words: transfer to another department of Uber, or reject it and accept that its next review would be bad.

Fowler finally stepped on. There they heard similar stories from other women who had complained about the same manager. So it was no innocent mistake from him, says Fowler. Even after Fowler he would have approached a female employee, and who was told that it was the first time he went over the line.

The man eventually left, Fowler writes but it is not known why.
