Two suspects \u0026 # x27; Spa \u0026 # x27; Thursday led

The brother and a friend of the main suspect of the shooting in Spa will be brought before Thursday in Amsterdam.

The two men were arrested in the Netherlands earlier this week. They would have been involved in the shooting in the Belgian Spa where a policeman was killed this weekend. Sunday morning the Dutchman Yvo T. (from Limburg) was arrested. He sat Saturday night with his brother and a friend in a taxi in Spa after being refused at a cafe where he had shown a firearm. A moment later he would have shot the police inspector.

T. has been accused of murder and a murder attempt on another agent. The Belgian authorities have asked the Netherlands to deliver the duo with T. in the taxi.

A spokesperson for the Public Prosecution Service says that the presentation to the public prosecutor on Thursday is solely about the request for extradition, not about the content of the case. If the two did not oppose extradition, they could in principle be transferred to Belgium within ten days. If they do oppose it, then the extradition request goes to the court and that must be handed down within 90 days.
