Turkish ship carrying aid to Gaza

A Turkish ship carrying aid for Palestinians in the Gaza Strip has put Friday sail to the Israeli port city of Ashdod.

,, And besides the love of our people for their Palestinian brothers and sisters. This boat will actually our hearts to them, '' said Deputy Prime Veysi Kaynak for the festive departure from Mersin.

The transport is a result of the reconciliation agreement which the government representatives of Israel and Turkey Tuesday signed after six years of icy coolness. The requested lifting of the blockade of Gaza is not to be found therein. Turkish aid to the enclave is allowed. The boat will arrive in good time for the multi-day festival at the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
