Turkey kills 13 PKK fighters in northern Iraq

The Turkish Army has certainly killed 13 members of the Kurdish secretion movement PKK during air strikes during Sunday in northern Iraq.

The fighter aircraft fought seven PKK targets in the Avashin-Basyan region. According to the army, the killed militants were preparing to attack.

During another air attack, Saturday in the province of Van in southeastern Turkey, ten PKK fighters came to life.

The PKK, who has been fighting Turkey for three decades in Turkey for three decades, has camps in the mountains in Northern Iraq, near the Turkish border. The violence of both sides has demanded tens of thousands of lives since 1984. Turkey, the United States and Europe see the PKK as a terrorist organization.
