Turkey is going to talk to Timmermans about visas

The Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavusoglu says he and EU Commissioner Frans Timmermans talk about speeding up visa-free travel for Turkish residents and about normalization of mutual relations.

Discussions are also underway between Turkish and Russian working groups on the abolition of visa requirements. That will happen after the Eid ul-Adha, the Islamic sacrifice festival next week.

Çavusoglu said Wednesday to a group of ambassadors in Ankara also to be ready for consultations with the United States on the current issues, as long as no threats are voiced.
