Trump takes climate back Obama

With a decree, President Trump Tuesday reversed a large part of the climate policy of his predecessor, Obama.

The main target of the Obama Trumps decree Clean Power Plan, that greenhouse gas emissions must have been reduced by coal-fired plants in 2030 by 32 percent from the 2005 level is also lifted the ban on the mining of coal from federal territory and the rules for methane emissions from oil and gas production eased.

' My government puts an end to the war on coal, '' Trump said before he signed the decree. ' With this decision, I put the historic step to lift the restrictions on American energy, turning back government involvement and regulations that cost jobs abolish. ''

Obama had these rules in place to meet the obligations associated with the climate treaty of Paris. Trump had stated during his election campaign that he would withdraw US support for the agreement. The president makes the abolition of the 'green lines' for a boost in the production of oil, gas and coal, and produces thousands of jobs.
