Trump regrets Sessions

US President Donald Trump has publicly stated to regret that he has appointed Jeff Sessions as Minister of Justice.

Trump responded to comments from the Republican Congressman Trey Gowdy, who had suggested that Trump might have chosen another good lawyer. 'I wish I had done that', tweeted Trump.

Sessions came shortly after taking office because it turned out that he had been silent about contacts with representatives from Russia that he had before he became minister. He then withdrew from investigations into Russian interference in the elections, a very sensitive subject for Trump. 'Senator Sessions, why did not you tell me before I picked you?' Trump now asks.
