Trump did not want McCains honorable statement

US President Donald Trump has stopped an honorable statement from the White House about the death of Senator John McCain.

In the statement, Republican McCain, who had much criticism of his party colleague Trump, would be described as a 'hero'. The reaction of the White House was already ready this weekend to be brought out when McCain's death became known. The president, however, did not like the communiqué. He informed his advisers that he would send a short message via Twitter instead.

When McCain passed away on Saturday, Trump voiced his sympathy with the senator's family through a tweet. But praising words about McCain's record were not there. This caused many critical reactions on Twitter, among other things.
