Tribute to dead police officer attack Paris

France officially paid tribute to the policeman shot at the Champs-Elysées in Paris on Tuesday.

The national ceremony, including a speech by French President François Hollande, was at the headquarters of the police in the French capital. The ceremony was also attended by presidential candidates Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen and former President Nicolas Sarkozy.

Jugelé was shot dead in a police car on Thursday. Two other police officers and a German tourist were injured by the attack. The perpetrator was shot by the police. The assault was claimed by Islamic State.
