Travelers spend the night in Thalys because of severe weather

Hundreds of passengers on the Thalys spent the night from Friday to Saturday in the train at a station in the north of Paris.

Due to severe weather in France, the trains had left with a delay of Friday night. They also could not drive fast because of the weather. As a result, they arrived late in Belgium where work had begun around midnight. The three vehicles had to go back to Paris.

Together, about thousands of people were on board the three trains. Most of them received a taxi from the rail company. A smaller group was accommodated in hotels. For 250 people, only the train banks remained. 06:00 Saturday morning the Thalys left.
