Train was too hard to accidentally Leuven

The train that derailed last month when the Belgian Leuven drove much too fast.

From preliminary study commissioned by the prosecution show Thursday that the train was driving 100 kilometers per hour at the exchange where the accident occurred. There a speed limit of 40 kilometers per hour.

According to the researcher, there were no technical defects in the track, signals, switches and the train. The driver stated that he was convinced that he was driving 90 kilometers per hour. He may not have seen the sign of the speed limit, according to the traffic expert.

The derailment on February 18 overturned a portion of the train. Most of the wounded were only slightly injured. The prosecution says that there is still much research to be done to determine the exact circumstances.
