Tourists escape murder in Australia

Two foreign tourists have escaped in a natural park in southern Australia to their abductor and death.

The two young women went with backpacks through the remote and inaccessible nature area southeast of the city of Adelaide. They arrived Monday in contact with a 59-year-old man. He robbed the two women, according to the prosecutors of their liberty, tortured, raped and tried to murder his victims.

The man was arrested in the area, a police spokesman told. He did not say where the second woman was found. Both women are seriously injured flown to a hospital in Adelaide.
