Tillerson warns: IS not yet defeated

The US minister Rex Tillerson (Foreign Affairs) warns that terrorist group Islamic State has not yet been eliminated.

The terrorist organization previously ran a 'caliphate' in Syria and Iraq, but little is left of it. Tillerson stated that the jihadists in those countries try to go underground. The minister also announced that his country is pulling another 200 million dollars (more than 162 million euros) to stabilize liberated areas in Syria.

Tillerson pointed out that the terror organization also wants to gain a foothold elsewhere in the world. He mentioned Afghanistan, the Philippines, Libya and West Africa as examples. 'History can not repeat itself,' the American continued. 'IS is still a major threat to the stability of the region, our homelands and other parts of the world. ''
