Tighter EU sanctions against North Korea

The European Union tightened again sanctions against North Korea.

The EU calls on Pyongyang on its nuclear and missile programs strike 'complete and irreversible'. The sanctions are in addition to the penalties corresponding to the UN Security Council.

The ban on investment is extended to the North Korean metal industry, the aviation industry and manufacturers of conventional arms. Besides providing services to the chemical, refining, mining is prohibited. Digital services may no longer.

The number of North Koreans whose European funds were frozen, with four being extended to 41. For them also subject to a travel ban to the EU.

Last May the EU decided after a nuclear test all the sanctions. In February there was a new tightening.
