Thousands walk against racism in Hamburg

Approximately 14,000 people came to Hamburg on Saturday to take part in a parade against racism.

The protesters demand an immediate suspension of evictions, safe escape routes and a right to protection, migration and asylum. They also want civilian rescue operations in the Mediterranean not to be punishable. Hamburg must become a safe haven for refugees, they argue.

The organizers spoke from 30,000 to 35,000 participants.
