Third suspect of Swedish arson

The Turkish police, at the request of Sweden, arrested a man who was possibly involved in the massive arson attacks in several Swedish cities earlier this week.

Little has been made known about the suspect or what his role would have been in the arson. The only thing that is known is that he is somewhere in his 20s.

'We found out that this person had left for Turkey, told customs that he was not allowed into the country and he was arrested,' a police spokesman told a Swedish newspaper. The suspect was brought back to Sweden yesterday.

It is now the third suspect who is stuck. On Tuesday, a 16-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man were arrested in connection with the arson.

In the night from Monday to Tuesday, it was mainly cars that went up in flames. Trollhättan and Göteborg were the worst hit, but also from many other cities arson foundations were reported. A motive is not yet known, but it is a Swedish 'tradition' that fires are set up in the week before the start of the school year.

Swedish politicians reacted strongly to the arson, not least because there are parliamentary elections next month.
