Tens of thousands at a concert against racism in Chemnitz

Tens of thousands of music lovers and activists have committed themselves to xenophobia, racism and right-wing extremist violence during a concert in Chemnitz.

The local government calculated the number of visitors at 65,000. Toten-Hosen singer Campino even spoke to 70,000 attendees. According to the police, it went peacefully. Counter-demonstrations of Thügida, an alliance that should have nothing of foreigners and Muslims, and the right-wing populist movement Pro Chemnitz were forbidden.

Chemnitz was for days the scene of actions of neo-Nazis, right-winged persons and opponents of the refugee policy of the Merkel government. The reason was the stabbing that cost a German the life. Two suspects, an Iraqi and a Syrian, are stuck.
