Ten Egyptian soldiers dead in attack

Ten Egyptian soldiers were killed in the Sinai Peninsula.

He said security forces were engaged in an action against terrorists. Soldiers killed in the operation fifteen people and arrested seven people suspected of terrorism.

Responsibility for the attack on the military vehicles has not yet been claimed. On the rugged, sparsely populated peninsula have long been active Islamist extremists. After the ouster of President Mohamed Mursi and the ban on his Muslim Brotherhood in 2013, the movement has become stronger. Since the main insurgent group joined in 2014 by the terrorist militia Islamic State, were slain in attacks in the Sinai hundreds of Egyptian soldiers and police.
