Tehran praises Oscar winner Farhadi

Oscar winner Asghar Farhadi can not go wrong in his native Iran.

He had read out a political declaration on the stage in which he sharply criticized the restrictions for residents of seven Islamic countries. Iran is one of those countries.

The Iranian foreign minister hurled instantly tweet the world. 'Proud of the creators of The Salesman and the opinion of the moslimban,' Javad Zarif wrote. 'Iranians are millennia of culture and civilization.' The Minister of Culture added a compliment to it. Reza Salehi Amiri praised Farhadi who stood up against the 'petty and racist politics of American political novices.

Despite the strict censorship in Iran, the filmmakers have an excellent reputation. Their films often win prizes at international festivals.
