Teacher suspect after deadly avalanche

A teacher with ten students to the skiing was on a closed ski in the French Alps when there was an avalanche, is suspected of manslaughter.

When the avalanche Wednesday afternoon in the resort of Les Deux Alpes, two high school students and a Ukrainian tourist was killed. The teacher was seriously injured. He was arrested, reported the prosecutor in Grenoble, Jean-Yves Coquillat, Thursday.

Police are investigating the circumstances. The students came from a school in Lyon. There were three teachers and 29 students from the first class to go skiing in the resort southeast of Grenoble. At the time of the avalanche was enormous, the group on a closed track in a dangerous north slope.
