Taiwan is not on a collision course

The intended president of Taiwan, Tsai Ing-wen, is not planning to provoke China.


         Tsai will further strengthen ties with Japan. She also pleads for a peaceful end to the battle for control of the South China Sea. China claims to be the boss in the sea, but Taiwan, Malaysia, Brunei, Vietnam and the Philippines also claims. Over the South China Sea annually passes for 5 trillion dollars in trade.
Tsai is the first female president of Taiwan, which is regarded as a renegade province by China. Her party wants Taiwan independence.
