Suspects studied in Quebec

The two suspected perpetrators of the attack on a mosque in Quebec studied in that city at Laval University.

Both suspects are residents of Quebec. One would be of Moroccan origin.

One of the suspects was arrested in front of the mosque. The other escaped at first with a car, but later reported to the police. The car would have found at least one weapon. Also the home of one of the suspects was searched.

The perpetrators opened fire on visitors mosque during evening prayers. Six people were killed and eight were injured, police said. About the motive of the perpetrators is still unknown.
