Strong wind prevents fireworks from Ostend

The traditional New Year fireworks in the Belgian coastal town of Ostend has been canceled due to the bad weather.

Other municipalities such as Ghent are still under consideration. Antwerp announces at 16.00 hours whether the fireworks will continue.
