Spanish marsh threatens to dry out

"The famous marshlands Doñana in Spain threatens to dry out.

"The World Wildlife Fund called Thursday for action by the Spanish government. Doñana stretches along the banks and the wide mouth of the river Guadalquivir in the Atlantic Ocean. The marsh area is known as plaster place for millions of migratory birds traveling between Africa and Europe."

"Because illegal water is withdrawn from the area, there is not more than 20 percent of the natural water flow in Doñana to, according to the World Wildlife Fund. The water IHE organization of UNESCO by the Spanish government demanded a report.
