Spain picks up escaped drug lord

A new success for the Spanish police in the fight against 'Los Castañas', the drugs clan in Southern Spain and master of the hash trade.

Crespo was arrested in early February, but was liberated in a spectacular action by twenty masked gang members. They attacked the hospital where the drug boss was cared for, after he had been slightly injured in his arrest. The action was so energetic that the police could only pick up one of the robbers.

Crespo hid in a country house near Jimena and hardly came after his escape from four months ago. 'He was hunted like a rabbit in his den', says an agent against the Spanish newspaper El País.
