Snowstorm affects traffic New York

A blizzard rages Thursday over the northeastern United States.

Individuals are advised not to go by car on the road. More than 3,000 people are employed with snow plows to keep roads open as much as possible. At the airports of the region Thursday morning canceled nearly 1,700 flights, 1050 at the New York airports JFK and LaGuardia and approximately six hundred flights in Newark.

The weather services expect that there is as much as 30 centimeters of snow in several places, including in the Bronx in New York City. The region is expected on Thursday before returning to the beginning of the evening to the normal course of business, because then snowstorm expected over.
