Smugglers of gold bars stand out by strange loop

Two air passengers have been caught at an airport in Sri Lanka on the smuggling of 20 gold bars in their rear.

The trapped smugglers tried to get eight and twelve pieces of gold of one hundred grams unseen into the country, reports local media. The total value of the gold is estimated at around 70,000 euros. The passengers flew from Singapore and Chennai (India) respectively to Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka.

In recent years, the smuggling of gold to Sri Lanka has increased due to a tax measure.
