Silver cigarette box from Jewish craftsman found

A cigarette box of silver that liberated a Jewish man from the Lodz ghetto has turned up in Poland.

The silver cigarette box was used by the Jewish artisan Chaim Klieger in the Second World War to buy a prison guard from the infamous ghetto in Lodz, reports The Times of Israel. Klieger, who made the piece herself, managed to free a friend with it.
