Ship with 87 migrants arrives in Spain

A rescue ship with 87 migrants on board has arrived in Spain.

In recent months, Spain has repeatedly opened the ports for rescue vessels of aid organizations that themselves attract migrants from boats. Other countries on the Mediterranean, such as Italy and Malta, are not waiting for such vessels. Migrants who are intercepted by the Libyan Coast Guard are often taken back to the North African country.

Already, ships of Proactiva have docked twice in Spain. Last month, a ship with 60 migrants arrived, which were transferred to Barcelona.
